Dear GCC Members,
I hope everyone is pumped about the start of the school year. During the past few months, I have had the privilege of serving as an interim president while we conducted a search for a full time president for the upcoming school year. After a rigorous selection process, I am pleased to introduce everyone to David Hoyt, who is the new GCC President for this school year.
David is a rising senior at Stanford University majoring in International Relations. In the past few years, he has interned at The Institute for National Policy Research (Taiwan), The White House, US Department of State and US Department of Commerce. Furthermore, he has shown exceptional leadership and personal qualities in the student organizations that he has been a part of. We truly believe that he is the right person to lead GCC forward this year.
By accepting the position of president, David has agreed to faithfully serve GCC as its President and manage its day-to-day operations in accordance with his job description and the policies set and procedures adopted by the Board of Trustees. He agreed to at all times devote his whole time, attention, and energies to the management and improvement of the organization to his utmost ability. During the term of his Presidency, he further agreed to not, directly or indirectly, engage or participate in any personal, business, charitable or other enterprise that is competitive in any manner with the operations of the Organization, whether or not such activity is for compensation.
GCC has one mission: foster deep and trusting personal relationships among Chinese and non-Chinese university students. We believe with David as president, we will continue to make a difference and change the world.
Best,
Randy Wan
