Yansong Pang 庞岩松 - President 总裁
Yansong Pang (庞岩松) is currently a buy-side lead equity research analyst at Ulland Investment Advisors in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a long-only asset manager founded in 1997 by James Ulland, Minnesota's Chief Regulator of securities, banks, and insurance companies under Governor Carlson. Yansong passed all three levels of CFA exams and leads the entire company’s equity research for high net-worth individual and family office portfolios with $75M in equity exposure.
Yansong graduated with honors from Carleton College in 2013 with double majors in Psychology and Math/Statistics and a minor in Cross-Cultural Studies. He received maximum amount of scholarship to attend Bridge Business Summer Program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in summer 2012.
Yansong is also a Director Assistant with Hubei Radiatech Auto Cooling System Co., Ltd, a publicly-traded Chinese company based in Hubei, Wuhan, China, and acts as the fully authorized representative of Radiatech to consult, negotiate, and communicate with investors about investments and business cooperation. His prior experience includes working as a market strategies & insight analyst at RSG, Inc., a market strategy consulting firm serving Fortune 500 companies. He was the lead analyst that informed multiple product development strategies for a Fortune Global 500 heavy construction machine manufacturing company in North American, Chinese, Russian, and Latin American markets, and multiple CPG brand positioning and assortment optimization projects in foreign markets.
Yansong is the founder of Chinese Professionals in Minnesota Group which provides a professional network and information sharing platform for over 300 Chinese professionals of various industries in Minnesota through online and offline activities. In his spare time, Yansong enjoys playing piano and saxophone, singing, kayaking, and playing basketball.
Linqi Li 李琳琦 - Senior Vice President 高级副总裁
Linqi Li (李琳琦) is currently a Sales Account Manager at Cummins Power Generation in Fridley, Minnesota. Linqi leads operation meetings to identify issues and provides resolutions to executives on revenue risks to reduce risks by multi-million dollars per month. She led the launching of a multi-million dollar project in Asia and served as client’s single point contact at Cummins. Previously she worked as an Assistant Plant Manager Intern at K.N. Wheels LTD. in the U.K and won a large order by liaising with Chinese vendors and quoting directly to a British customer.
Linqi served as the Director of Public Relations at GCC University of Minnesota Chapter from January 2012 to May 2013. She tripled the size of GCC’s public relation team, invited school officials and professionals as keynote speakers on GCC events, and established initial contacts with business and on-campus student organizations for event sponsorship. She also served as a Project Assistant for Carlson Global Executive MBA Program, where she coordinated with Fortune 500 companies for EMBA student’s U.S. residency and supported program operations in Austria, China and the United States. Linqi hopes to continue utilizing her project management skills and networking capabilities at GCC Central Management, and work closely with Yansong to contribute the future success of GCC.
Linqi graduated from Carlson School of Management in University of Minnesota in May, 2015. She has a BSB degree in Accounting and Supply Chain & Operation Management and was on the Dean’s List in 2011 fall and 2012 spring. Linqi enjoys traveling, playing golf, and the great outdoors.
Jianxiong Zhang 张健雄 – VP of Alumni Affairs 校友事务副总裁

Jianxiong Zhang (张健雄) is an undergraduate student at Carleton College Class of 2020 in Minnesota, United States. Jianxiong grew up in Chongqing, and has lived in Beijing for many years.
Before college, Jianxiong has 2 years of professional experience. Jianxiong was a Junior Fellow at Sunrise International Education, a social enterprise devoted to promoting education reform in China through extracurricular activities and experiential education. Jianxiong also worked as an Academic Assistant at the National High School Debate League of China and as an Event Assistant at its sister league, the Association for Global Debate. Jianxiong believes the young generation deserves an opportunity to participate in China's emergence in the world, and GCC alumni have indeed become forerunners who are changing the world today. That's one of the reasons he decided to join the GCC to work on alumni affairs.
Jianxiong has a broad passion for U.S.-China relations, public policy, education, economy, and journalism. He has written about education for Illumi Magazine, NAthology, and is currently writing about U.S.-China relations for PolitiCarl, a political magazine at Carleton College. Jianxiong is also a member of Asia Society.
Betty Liu 刘雅彤 – VP of Network 会员事务副总裁
Yatong Liu (刘雅彤) is currently a risk consultant at Ernst & Young LLP in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a risk consultant, she works with her colleagues to assess and mitigate risks in clients’ business processes and IT management.
Yatong recently graduated with a Management Information System major and Marketing minor from Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. During her last year of college, she served as the president of Global China Connection, University of Minnesota Chapter, and organized the first GCC Midwest Regional Conference. She also worked as an accounting assistant in the Provost Office, a research assistant in the Human Resources Department of Carlson, and a program assistant in the China Center.
Yatong is very passionate about promoting cross-cultural communication and understanding. Ever since she visited Japan and the United States in elementary school, she has been a believer of the power of diversity. During her time in GCC, she focused on building bridge between Chinese and non-Chinese students by organizing events that showcased the Chinese culture and facilitating discussions that helped Chinese students succeed in the U.S academically and professionally. As the new VP of Network, she is dedicated to building relationships among students and working professionals around the globe.
Lifan Zhang 张力凡 – VP of Development 业务发展副总裁
Lifan Zhang (张力凡) is currently a financial services risk consultant at Ernst & Young LLP in New York City. As a risk management professional, she primarily assesses and improves different leading financial institution’s risk and regulatory framework.
Lifan graduated from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University Bloomington with a Master of Science in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Lifan previously served as a Vice President of Marketing organizing fundraising events in Dream Corps International, a non-profit organization founded in North Carolina in 2004, which is dedicated to improving the environment for learning and development of children in rural China.
Lifan is committed to bringing fresh ideas and perspective to the GCC and the people around her based on her various experiences and background. She believes that progress happens by bringing people together from all walks of life whom have the drive and the influence to make positive changes. She also participated in various cheerleading competitions previously and considers dancing as one of her favorite hobbies to do during her spare time.
Sunan Qian 钱苏楠 - Director of Marketing 市场总监
Sunan Qian (钱苏楠) is currently a sophomore at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She has a passion for languages and can speak Chinese, English, French and Korean. In the College, she is Social Chair of Student Government Association and Co-Chair of Chinese Cultural Association. She also works as French Department Office Assistant at Mount Holyoke College.
Outside of college, Sunan has worked as International Settlement Intern in Bank of China. She has also worked as Assistant to General Manager in European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC), which was founded in 2000 and is dedicated to facilitating business transactions of European companies in China. In addition, she is founder and Chief Editor of Vieworld Foreign Language Newspaper, which is designed for high school students and contains articles in four languages (Chinese, English, French and Japanese).
Being Director of Marketing is not Sunan’s first experience with GCC. She previously served as Marketing Associate of GCC and now she is devoted to bringing her experience and marketing skills to her new position. She enjoys working as a member of the team and she firmly believes that creativity promotes productivity. In her spare time, she enjoys playing Guzheng, watching basketball games, and singing. Her favorite sports are 10-meter air pistol shooting and equestrian.
Huan Lou 楼奂 - Director of Operations, HR and Finance 运营总监
Huan Lou (楼奂) is an attorney admitted to practice law in the state of New York. She currently works at Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference, a securities law firm in downtown Manhattan, New York. Her primary practice focuses on initial public offerings, private investment in public equity (“PIPE”) transactions, mergers & acquisitions and general corporate transactions.
Ms. Lou graduated from Peking University in Beijing and received her cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has extensive experience in operating non-profit organizations and is devoted to promoting U.S.-China business opportunities. She is honored to serve GCC as vice president.
Leah Zhang 张玉鑫 - Director of Public Relations 公关总监
Leah Zhang (张玉鑫) is a senior at Syracuse University majoring Economics and Mathematics with Dean's List award all semesters. She grew up in Shenzhen, China, and she transferred to Syracuse University from China in 2015.
Within two years, Leah made to the President position of the Global China Connection Syracuse University Chapter, Vice President of the Economics Association, Committee Leader&Volunteer of UNICEF, Transfer Transitions Leader of First Year and Transfer Program, the member of The Dean's Team, and Honorary Member of Pi Mu Epsilon (Honorary National Mathematics Society).
Leah had an internship in Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk, LLP in Manhattan, NY this winter focusing on Taxation, Auditing and pre-IPO cases. She also had work experience in the CITIC Futures Co., Ltd as a Customer Management & Risk Control Intern and Business Development internship experience in Shanghai Keniu Information Technology Co., Ltd.
Marshall Ma 马啸 - Director of Technology 科技总监
Xiao (Marshall) Ma is currently a sophomore at Carleton College intending to double major in Psychology and Mathematics/Statistics with a Concentration in Cognitive Science. Marshall was born and raised in Cixi, China. He graduated from Baylor School, Chattanooga, TN in 2015 with Cum Laude award and was named as one the Eight Notable Seniors.
This summer, Marshall is participating in a Math research at Carleton coming up with ways to automatically assemble puzzle pieces via methods of programming, math modeling, etc. Marshall has had deep interest in related areas since high school. He served as president of Baylor chapter of Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society from 2014-15, organizing activities to promote passion to math over campus. In a team with four other students, Marshall competed in Moody's Mega Challenge and won Honorable Mention after 14 hours of math modeling. His interest to coding and programming was also ignited during his Baylor career, when he was involved with Baylor Integrating Technology and Science.
In addition, Marshall is an enthusiast of psychological aid and helping others. Served as a dorm prefect (Residential Assistant) in Baylor, he dedicated himself to construct a warmer and more cohesive dorm environment. He volunteered in Zhiyuan Psychology Mental Health Services, assisting psychologists in need. In his free time, Marshall likes to do kayaking, white-water rafting, and rock-climbing.
